Haul - H&M F21

I went to Chicago for Thanksgiving this year and went shopping at Michigan Ave! It was a blast!
You may be wondering if I went out to "Black Friday" midnight shopping, and the answer is......NO.
I learned my lesson a few years back. I went from 11pm to 8am and I was exhausted. I didn't exactly
get anything 'on sale' or had a 'great deal'. I just went with my cousins and friends. Yes, I enjoyed it a lot
but I wasn't about to go out by myself in Michigan Ave to buy clothes and carry those bags by myself...
However, I did get up about 10 am the next day and went out shopping!
Here is the H&M and Forever 21 portion of my haul from Chicago ^^
Belated Thanksgiving you guys and Early Merry Holidays :D

OOTD #1

I haven't exactly done an official "Outfit of the Day" video or blog entry.  And today, loving my outfit/new clothes and all, I decided to make a really quick video. [oh and also because I got to use the Canon 7D camera! HD baby :D ]

This outfit is very simple yet cute.  When I ordered these items online I had in mind this outfit.  I also bought another romper similar to this one [I will probably also do an OOTD with it] with the same hat and sandals to accompany it.

Here are some pictures and links so that you guys can get the same outfit!

I would love for someone to help me take pictures of the whole outfit one day...
Hopefully soon, for future OOTD :)

I like how it focuses on the romper :)
I think this hat is to die for :) So cute!!
And it actually fits my head *angels singing* Ahhhh.
Buy it Here
These sandals are perfect!! However, they run a little bit big on sizes.
I suggest buying a half size smaller.
Buy it Here.

The center of attention :)

Night Time Face Routine

For some reason, my face get extremely dirty throughout the day. Dust and oils just love to hang  around on my skin [face].  To prevent my skin from getting anymore acne I decided to end this nasty face thing once and for all (I'm still working on it.. But with this routine, Its been turning out pretty good :)  ).

I asked my friends what they used and I even bought other products just to test out and I read and watched reviews.  But surprisingly I began to get into a habit, using specific items every night.  One product however, On-The-Spot Acne Treatment Neutrogena, was suggested by one of my friend's mom.  She told me that that product work like wonders! (No wonder her children's face are flawless!)

  • No. 7 Quick Thinking 4 in 1 Wipes [$6.99]
    • I'm sorry for telling you guys that these wipes were $4.. But! The price shouldn't change your opinion on this product.  This product helped cleanse, tone, moisturize my skin when I was out on a mission trip.  It help prevent dirt build ups and acne from invading my face! I continue to use it now because its a very easy way to wash my face with all the benefits (cleanse, tone, moisturize, remove makeup).

  • Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser [$9.47] 16 oz.
    • This has been part of my daily (night and day) routine for as long as I can remember.  I just love how this product feels very subtle but at the same time cleans like a vacuum cleaner on steroids!  And the one thing VERY good about this product that it doesn't make your skin dry after using it.

  • Brown Sugar Scrub [$5.15] 8 oz.
    • My good friend offered to let me try this amazing product.  I first heard about it from my other friends who raved about how soft their skin felt after using the scrub! Now I use this product when my face just feels way to eeky for me to handle.

  • Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish
    • The company "Yu-Be" sent me this product a while back to do a review on.  My first impression of this product wasn't too impressive.  But I decided to try it nonetheless. After the 3rd or 4th use, I noticed the my knees and elbows began to get/feel softer! (I mainly use it for that part of my body)

  • On-The-Spot Neutrogena [$6.99] .75 oz.
    • Magic :)  This product not only clears your skin of acne but it also acts as a vanishing cream which fades your acne spots.  Your all around 'best out there' product for acne.

  • Porcelana Night [price varies on location] 3 oz.
    • I started using this product because I saw how much difference it made to my parents.  Its does not directed to be only used for the face, but for anywhere where you find that you have a 'darkened' area.  This product helps lighten that affected area and evens your skin tone.

I hope you guys find this useful! :)

Mineral Hygienics

I didn't know much about mineral makeup until I heard a few makeup gurus loving them.  So I set out [to google] in search of a good mineral makeup brand.  I have read some reviews that most of the other makeup brands contain bismuth [for some, causes itching].  Mineral Hygienics [ http://www.mineralhygienics.com/ ] is one company that I know of that doesn't contain bismuth.  These were the poducts I recieved:

I never wore foundation because it felt so heavy on my face.  It didn't feel natural.  But when I tried these it felt as if I didn't put anything on at all!  If you are more into natural looking makeup then I suggest you check out Mineral Higienics.  The coverage of the foundation satisfies but it doesn't completely cover.  To use this foundation as a concealer I suggest to take a concealer brush and dampen it a little then apply on the foundation where needed [as a concealer]. The concealer brush alone will help pick up more product adding more coverage.
In a custom kit you will get:
•2 shades of Mineral Hygienics SPF Foundation
•Mineral Hygienics Warm Kiss mineral enhancer
•Mineral Hygienics Sheer Perfection - Translucent finishing powder
•Flawless Face Mineral Brush
•Full Coverage Kabuki Brush
•Wonder Cover Concealer Brush
•Detailed How-To Guide

In the kit I recieved all that including an additional foundation.  I wasn't quite sure what skin tone I had and with much help from Danielle I have found my shade, Fairly Tan.

I fell in love with this foundation as I applied it onto my face.  The day I got it in the mail I applied it on.  Shortly after that I had to leave for work so this was what I called the test run.  I worked for only a couple of hours but my work is a very hot/sweaty place [I usually don't wear make up there for that reason].  Surprisingly that foundation stayed!  I wore it through my night activities and had no problems at all.  My face stayed non-oily looking.  I didn't have to retrouch my makeup so now it is less carry in my purse ;).

I also fell in love with the kabuki brush.  My first kabuki brush didn't seem to do much when used for application but this kabuki brush did wonders!  It is perfect.  Its bristles are the packed in but soft to the touch.  Hair didn't fall out and it applied just the right amount of makeup onto my face.

In my opinion, the use of "Sheer Pefection - Matte" contributes to the lasting power of the whole look.  I heard that most of Mineral Hygienics products only really contains four products [none that causes problems].  This is basically the translucent powder and can be used before and after your foundation.  As a primer and finnishing powder. 2-in-1!

I would also like to include that Mineral Hygienics have a 45-day Money Back Guarantee.  This means, you can try and test out the product for 45 days and if you do not like it then you can return it and get your money back!  But with this great of a product, I doubt you will be able to return it ;)  Also included in their website is a skin tone guide, you can find it here: http://www.mineralhygienics.com/store/index.php?main_page=page&id=39. This is a very helpful detailed guide that will help you find your perfect shade.  And with the help of great customer service, you cannot go wrong.

All in all, I really do find these products a favorite.  They have been part of my daily make up routine and I doubt that it would ever change.
Disclaimer: I recieved these products for free for review.  I am not affiliated with Mineral Hygienics and this is my honest opinion.
Here are more pictures :)

Come back and check out my future posts! I will be doing many new reviews and I hope you guys will like it!

Basic Nail Polish Tutorial

Happy New Year's Everybody! I know I'm late with this, but since school has been announced as "CLOSED" I have had the time to make/edit videos and now I'm making blog posts for them :) Honestly, school has been hectic and I haven't found any time to paint my nails.  But! Since yesterday was me and my boyfriends 2nd year anniversary [pictures at the end], I decided that it was time to tidy up my nails.

I'm going to start by listing the products that I used and what I used them for.

  • Nail Buffer
  • Cuticle Oil
  • Clear Nail Polish
  • O.P.I. - "And this Little Piggy"
  • Seche Vite - "Dry Fast Top Coat"
  • O.P.I - "Drip and Dry"

  • Nail Buffer - [Sally's Beauty Supply - $1.50 ] I didn't show this in the video, but this is what I use to even out my nail bed to have a smooth surface :) I'm sure everyone knows how to buff their nail. (yoiina - Has asked me to do a tutorial on prepping nails before application)

  • Cuticle Oil - [Sally's Beauty Supply - $1.00+ ] This step wasn't shown either, but I love using this [before and after application] because, not only does it heal your cuticles and gives it the nutrients needed but it also helps speed up the drying process of your nail-polish when used after.

  • Clear Nail Polish - [French Tip Dip - this came in a kit ] I used this because I had ran out of my O.P.I. Base/Top coat nail polish and my Sally Hansen's "Hard as Wraps".  I don't exactly have a say for this, positive or negative. But, I can say that it saved me from directly painting color on my nails :)

  • O.P.I. - ["And this Little Piggy" - $4.00 ] This color I adore! It is very buildable and many designs can be done with this color.  Sometimes I wear a very thing 'barely there' coat or a thick 'all the way there' look. Teehee. You don't have to use this as your base color, I just used this because I was planning on doing another tutorial with this color after.

  • Seche Vite - [Sally's Beauty Supply - $7.99 ] I love this top coat! But lately, it has given me problems. Such as making my nail polish off after a few hours.  I don't know if its the nail polish combination I use or if this Seche Vite is a defective product.

  • O.P.I. - ["Drip and Dry"] I don't know I took a picture of this product..I didn't use it in any part of my tutorial. Hehe.

Well that's it for the product listings! On to my 2nd Anniversary Gift!

Every Kiss begins with Kay <3

And of course, I got him a watch!
